Plebbit is a terrible place. It could use a good, well-meaning right-wing administrator. I'm pretty sure even leddit users would have lots of problems with the platform, they would just point towards homosexual and bland technical things (UI/UX, algorithm) and other banal things of that nature, whereas high IQ esoteric bhramins would say it's too ideologically heavy on the leftytroon shit and full of powertripping mods who service that kind of thing.
If even leftytroonie users have problems with preddit, why do they still use it? Why don't they just move over to some other platform? It's free.

So, while in theory a competitor could pop up and steal Plebbit's userbase for being superior and more aryan, it never happens because coordination is a tricky thing to sort out. Your friend will not just set up SimpleX, or even Telegram for that matter. Everyone will not just migrate over to plebbit2.com. Unless the situation is super duper mega ultra bad, like what happened to Digg. But that's really rare.
The only people who will migrate over to plebbit2.com and Telegram for muh 'private sea' and 'freeze peach' are total weird asses and probably racist gooners, or however the statism is wielded. There may well be a censorship problem on whatever X platform, but the share of X platform's userbase who will migrate over to platform Y because of that are certainly the worst of the bunch, whom simply want the free reign to spread evil things like racism and holocaust denial. And nobody wants to be associated with that.
Declare that you’re going to stop holding witch hunts, and your coalition is certain to include more than its share of witches.
So platform Y, plebbit2.com, Telegram, and other assorted faggotry become reserved for only the most autistic of HBD constituencies, ie witches. To name a REAL WORLD example, the whole point of something like Odysee over Youtube is that you can watch evil neo-nazis like Varg Vikernes talk about their thoughts on global warming and whatnot. Of course, they [Odysee] did not decide this, in no way is it written in the rules that they wanted to be alt-right heaven; they aren't GoyimTV. But if they wanted users they needed things Youtube didn't have. One of them being evil neo-nazi Varg Vikernes, along with a slew of creepy euronationalist videos and.. a whole tab for 'Spirituality' (whatever that is).
It would be nice if YouTube were run with Odysee's lax rules. Even if you are not a witchy euronationalist, you will still suffer under YouTube's gay little rules and bureaucracy. But everyone will not just, because everyone likes big platforms and loathes witches. Even if it were the case that witches didn't move to Odysee as a result of Youtube banning them, you still have the problem of coordination and 'well my videos and friends and everything are still over there.' So, YouTube wins despite being a 1984 nigger hell circus.

...Don't tell anyone this, but I think feeding the Vampire's Castle at least a little bit for this endeavor is probably a good idea. Just brand it as 'accelerationism' and you can make it work, more or less. That tendency Fisher described is more widely frowned upon nowadays, but some people are genuinely that cartoonishly retarded still, I think you can probably astroturf those peoples' relevance to an absurd degree.
I think Peter Heft was definitely reaching in those last paragraphs of his article on the Vampmire's Castle, but it's an astute suggestion!
