It's 2026 and these institutions which are supposed to educate you about the evils of political extremism still don't know how the internet works. You're not supposed to portray your enemies as cute girls with dyed hair, and ONE DOESN'T JUST ""DOWNLOAD"" A VIDEO.
Go see it for yourself if you haven't already, although it backfired so much that I think they might try to nuke it.
'Pathways' is now an interactive goberment propaganda game where you can see firsthand how evil racists are radicalized and how to avoid going down the alt-right pipeline. It's so insanely poorly written and made that I'm half convinced there is a seditious right-winger working at Shout Out UK, doing god's work.
Some notes and the gist:
- In the instructions sequence the word 'hurtful' is surrepticiously replaced with 'racist' after you click through (???)
- there's a leddit karma meter to tell the player how they should feel about their actions (we learned not to do this in fourth grade)
- the art style is corporate and gay
- they give the best and most shitlib-coded character design to the evil nationalist who is supposed to be the antagonist (picture related)
- the player is groomed into glownigger telegram groups (this is the only accurate part)
- ALWAYS COMPLY WITH THE POLICE!!!
- if you say an incorrect opinion we will isolate you and make sure you're lonely and sad
- Remember, all it takes to dismiss claims about the world is one anecdote
- you did a bad things on the internet that are ILLEGAL!!!
- Purple haired girl is now a symbol of british nationalism (lol)
The United Kingdom is literal hell on earth. You can't chastise those precious innocent brown people when act aggressively or do stupid shit, you can't grief a nigga's base on Minecraft, you can't express certain ideas or opinions, you can't shitpost without the police knocking on your door, if you oppose age verification it's because you're a degenerate coomer... What is the UK even for? What do people even do there anymore?
